If you notice a factual error, an outdated source, a broken link or an unclear calculation, please contact the Home Air Compass editorial team through our contact page. Include the article URL, the passage or result in question, and a source or explanation that helps us check it.
For appliance details, a model number and the relevant manual page can be useful. Please leave out passwords, payment details, account numbers and other information unrelated to the report.
How a report is reviewed
We compare the report with the underlying source and, where relevant, the appliance model, manual revision, conditions or calculation inputs. If the issue cannot be resolved from the evidence, we explain the uncertainty or remove the unsupported guidance while it is reviewed.
We do not treat a manufacturer’s instructions for one model as instructions for every dehumidifier. We also distinguish an error in a guide from a different result caused by different inputs or conditions.
How changes are shown
When a correction changes a conclusion, a calculation, a recommendation or the reader’s next step, we add a dated note to the affected article explaining what changed. Small spelling, formatting or link repairs may be made without a separate note.
We change an article’s update date when its content has materially changed. Reviewing a page without changing it does not make its original information newer.
What this channel is for
